Added Products to Page

  1. Login to the Shopify Admin Panel
  2. Navigate to Products > Add Product
  3. Add Product Title, Images and Price
  4. Set up variants by following the variants instructions below.
  5. Set the Product type to Shows (This step is required, without it the product will now show on the shows page).
  6. Set up TAGS.  Setting up the tags is required for the product to show / filter by year. The format for tags is “shows:year” For example if the show was in 2016 the tag format would appear as “shows:2016”.
  7. Add text to the description field by following the description field instructions below.
  Variants & Setting Up Digital Downloads
  1. Set up variants by clicking on the Add Variants button.
  2. Under Option Name use “Format” and for value “Digital Download” followed by a comma.
  3. Save Product
  4. In the top right section select the ellipse button (...) and choose “Add Digital Attachment”.

  1. Return back to the product by selecting “View in your Shopify Admin” button.
  The Description Field Shopify has some limitations with adding multiple field on the product page, so to bypass this limitation use the following <!-- split --> technique inside of the description field. The description field is separated into 3 <!-- split --> ‘s. The first split contains the date, the second split contains the venue and the third split contains the description.  
  1. Find the Description field and click the <> HTML brackets on the top right of the section.
  2. SPLIT 1 (Date) -  Add the date
  3. SPLIT 2 (Venue) - Add the venue location, add <br /> to show on multiple lines.
  4. SPLIT 3 (Description) - Add the product description .
  5. Press save.
