This technique uses code from: http://ipinfo.io/

and was first used on the 12on12-us.myshopify.com and the the-vamps.myshopify.com sites.

Open Theme.liquid

Add the following code before the </body> close tag:

Get a IP Address Find a IP Address in the desired location. Here are some good places to search:

Add the IP Address to your machines proxy settings.

If you are using Mac OS X
  1. Open Safari and choose Preferences.
  2. Go to Advanced.
  3. Choose the Proxies and Change Settings.
  4. Check HTTP (Web Proxy)
  5. Get to a new IP address by using a free proxy service (get one from the link/list we just provided above)
  6. Copy and Paste the IP address and the port number.
  7. OK and Apply.

Windows Machine

If you are on a Windows machine follow these instructions by securitygladiators.

Test to make sure your IP is coming from the correct country.
  • Go to http://ipinfo.io/ - This site should tell you the location of the IP address.
  • www.google.com - If you go to google.com, the country name should show.
