Magento Product Export

To move products listed in Magento, so that they can be imported into Shopify or some other platform, we have to export them from the current Magento site. To export a store's Magento products:

1. Log into our Magento installation backend.
2. Go to System > Import/Export > Dataflow - Profiles.
3. Click Add New Profile.
4. Enter the following in the fields shown (any fields not listed do not have to be changed):
   1. Under Profile Information
      1. Name [Store Name] Products Export (e.g. "Willie Nelson Products Export").
      2. Direction Export.
      3. Store Select the store from which you wish to export products.
      4. Add field with URL Yes.
   2. Under File Information
      1. File name [Store-Name]-products-export.csv (e.g. "Willie-Nelson-products-export.csv").
      2. Path var/export
   3. Under Data Format
      1. Type CSV / Tab separated.
      2. Original Magento attribute names in the first row Yes.
   4. Under Export Filters
      1. Type All Types
5. Click Save and Continue Edit.
6. Go to Run Profile in the side menu.
7. Click Run Profile in Popup.

This will cause a pop-up window to open. Do not close the window until it shows completed. The exported file will be saved on the server for retrieval.
