Sendowl Physical Product + License Key

Laced Records: creating a product that includes a physical item as well as a stem code (License Key). License key is delivered at a different date than the physical.

NOTES:

• This technique was first used on Straffe - Steam Code product.
• Set product bundle and steam code to manual.

Step 1: Create the physical product in Shopify. Add “hidden” tag as/if needed

Step 2: Create the “place holder” license Key product in Shopify. Use a graphic that states when the license key will be available. Add “hidden” tag

Step 3: Create the digital product in SendOwl. Use a graphic that states when the license key will be available. Set advanced settings to manual fulfillment.

Step 4: Create bundle product in Sendowl: Grab physical product in Shopify, attach the “place holder” license key product to create the bundle. When someone orders the physical product they will get the sendowl “place holder” digital file. Set advanced settings to manual fulfillment.

Step 5: once the license key is available, create a new license key product in sendowl. Add in the codes from a list and create a new graphic explaining where to download the game using the license key. Set advanced settings to manual fulfillment.

Step 6: remove the original place holder product from the bundle in sendowl.

Step 7: attach the new license key product to the original bundle product within SendOwl.
